Our products are carved from a natural single piece stone that formed many years ago. A single stone represents hundreds of years of accumulated time, each one has their stylish.
As we sliced open a piece, a mystery was unraveled as the unique features of the stone were exposed. These include natural individual fingerprints, such as areas of color enhancement and abnormalities in the stone in the form of unusual veins and color swirls. Most of the actual carving is done by hand with calculated percussion of a hammer and chisel. We also use small diamond saws and hand-held polishing tools, but since the sinks are not machined, each sink will be slightly different and it's excellent. They won't be perfectly symmetrical, and there will be slight variations in size. Each stone also has its own personality; the makeup of its crystal structure is slightly different.

Onyx is naturally formed from calcite in caves around the world when water drips and evaporates from the ends of stalagmites and stalactites. Once it evaporates, it leaves behind traces of minerals and calcium carbonate which causes its intricate bands of varying colours. The bands of colour are produced with alternating silica minerals – quartz and morganite – and leave behind bands that lie parallel to one another. This tends to be why agate is often mistaken for onyx, as it is formed in the same way. However, the layers produced when agate forms are not parallel. Instead, the alternating bands are produced in a more dramatically curved formation.
