Due to the high usage rate of the sink, all kinds of kitchen waste will inevitably fall into it. If you do not do it for a long time, please add maintenance, which will make the dirty material adhere to the surface of the stone, and in severe cases, it will penetrate into the interior of the stone. Remove stone sink stains promptly to avoid stains becoming stubborn.

1. Granite is a durable and elastic stone. Daily Cleaning: Scrub with a soapy nylon brush in circular motions and rinse thoroughly. Daily cleaning helps prevent the formation of hard water grime. For persistent stains, try using non-abrasive cleaners such as dishwashing liquid, bleach, etc. Avoid using strong alkalis such as ammonia and other chemicals that help unclog drains. To remove rust caused by iron ions contained in water and cooking utensils, use an oxalic acid-based cleaner. Do not use bleach directly on granite.

2. Marble is beautiful and elegant in appearance. Due to the porosity of stone, it seems difficult to maintain this glossy appearance. Sealing helps prevent the stone from absorbing liquids, but acidic liquids such as orange juice, lemons, soda, various foods, household cleaners, etc. can corrode the stone. Based on this, do not use acidic cleaners on marble. Wet glasses with weak acid liquids can also cause hard water stains. To avoid water spots, rinse and dry the sink after each use. The only way to remove corrosion, water stains is to have an expert re-sand and polish. Daily Care: Use a mild liquid cleanser or regular household detergent.

3. Limestone is famous for its surface inlaid with shells and fossils. Some limestones are "soft" so you need to be careful when using sharp objects to avoid scratching, scratching the surface. Limestone is regularly sealed with a penetrating sealant to prevent staining, especially when in contact with acids.

4. The soapstone surface is smooth. Soapstone has a very dense surface, so it has strong stain resistance. It has the least porosity among stones used as kitchen or bathroom sinks. A mild detergent should be used, with a damp cloth or sponge. Soapstone sinks should be protected with mineral oil once a month.

To remove stubborn stains on the above types of stone, in daily operation, you can refer to the following steps.

1) Use a neutral stone cleaner to clean the stained area. If that doesn't help, try a cleaner that's more detersive. Dr. Shi's powerful cleaning agent. The use of chemical products should be judged according to the type of stone.

2) Wet the stone surface with distilled water. Helps prevent the chemical from drying too quickly, extending the time it stays in contact with the stain.

3) Prepare the plaster. Using a plaster is to suck out the stains in the stone. A simple plaster can be made at home, a cup of flour, a few tablespoons of liquid detergent, the two are mixed and stirred to form a plaster, which is environmentally friendly and energy-saving. Chemical plasters are also available. In case of red wine stains, use plaster instead of cleaner.

4) Place the plaster on the stain, cover it with plastic wrap, tape the edges, and let it sit for 24 hours.

5) Remove the plastic film after 24 hours. Let the plaster continue to dry. This step is very important to suck out the stain after drying. The plaster can be scraped off with a razor blade or putty knife. Wash the residue with water and a mild detergent.
